When someone was born differently, others would see him or her as an abnormal entity and even look down on those people, for example, people with Down syndrome. I still remembered I did not know how to communicate with them naturally when I first met them. However, after getting in touch with them, I have started to change my view.
This video installation is about a girl, Hei Hei, who has Down syndrome and showing her daily life from baby to middle age. Each picture is based on the experience I heard from the parents and my impression to Down syndrome people during my first hand research.
She is different, but same as us.
